What's In It — Complete Nutrition Data for Every Spring Product

Every number for every Spring product, in one place. Calories, carbohydrate, sugar, fat, protein, fibre, sodium, potassium, caffeine, full ingredient lists, allergens and cost per serving — so you can work out exactly what you need instead of guessing.

The number to look at first is carbohydrate per serving. Fuelling targets are set in grams of carbohydrate per hour, not calories, and our range runs from 12 g to 50 g per serving. Two products are not interchangeable just because they have similar calories.

How many do I need per hour?

For efforts over about two hours, 60–75 g of carbohydrate per hour is a well-supported range for most athletes. Here is what that means in actual servings.

Product Carbs per serving To reach 60 g/hr To reach 75 g/hr Calories per gram
Lemon Power Snack 25 g 2.4 per hour 3.0 per hour 1.9
Peach Cobbler Gel XL 50 g 1.2 per hour 1.5 per hour 1.9
Açaí Power Snack 23 g 2.6 per hour 3.3 per hour 1.9
Orange Power Snack 21 g 2.9 per hour 3.6 per hour 1.9
Canaberry 17 g 3.5 per hour 4.4 per hour 2.2
Mango Mint 20 g 3.0 per hour 3.8 per hour 2.4
Awesome Sauce 28 g 2.1 per hour 2.7 per hour 3.0
Matcha Berry Meal 44 g 1.4 per hour 1.7 per hour 2.8
Long Haul 19 g 3.2 per hour 3.9 per hour 2.7
Wolf Pack 39 g 1.5 per hour 1.9 per hour 2.8
Blueberry Meal 22 g Not a carb-target product — see note below 2.8
Speednut 12 g Not a carb-target product — see note below 4.8

About the two fat-based products. Speednut and Blueberry Endurance Meal carry 12 g and 22 g of carbohydrate against 19 g and 24 g of fat. Reaching 60 g of carbohydrate an hour from Speednut alone would mean five servings and 1,250 calories, which is not what the product is for. Both are built for long, low-intensity days — hiking, night sections, all-day efforts, and the point in a long race where nothing sweet will go down. If you are racing to a carbohydrate target at any distance, use a carb-dense product instead.

What is not here yet

This page covers our gels, Power Snacks and Endurance Meals. Drink mixes and recovery shakes are not listed yet — we are completing verified panel data for each before publishing it here. We would rather leave a gap than publish a figure we cannot stand behind.

Two things we do not yet publish for any product: glucose-to-fructose ratio and osmolality. Both are genuinely useful if you are managing a sensitive stomach, and both are on our list.

Common questions

How many Spring servings do I need per hour?

It depends which product. Carbohydrate per serving ranges from 12 g to 50 g across the range. To reach a 60 g per hour target you need 1.2 servings of Peach Cobbler Gel XL, 2.4 of Lemon Power Snack, or 3.5 of Canaberry. The table above does the arithmetic for every product at both 60 and 75 g per hour.

Which Spring product has the most carbohydrate?

Peach Cobbler Gel XL, at 50 g of carbohydrate per 110 g pouch. That is more carbohydrate in a single serving than a standard 100-calorie gel provides in two.

Which Spring products are lowest in carbohydrate?

Speednut (12 g) and Blueberry Endurance Meal (22 g) are deliberately fat-based rather than carbohydrate-based. They are built for long, low-intensity efforts where calorie density and something that is not sweet matter more than hitting an hourly carbohydrate number. If you are fuelling to grams per hour, choose a carb-dense product instead.

Are Spring products gluten free?

Yes. All Spring products are made without gluten-containing ingredients, but they are not third-party certified — certification is a voluntary programme rather than a regulatory requirement. If you have celiac disease and require certified products, we would rather tell you that plainly.

Which Spring products contain nuts?

Speednut contains hazelnuts, cashews and almonds. Peach Cobbler Gel XL and Blueberry Endurance Meal contain cashew butter. Long Haul contains peanuts. Every other product in the range is free of nuts and peanuts. The allergen column above lists this per product.

Which Spring products are vegan?

Canaberry, Speednut, Awesome Sauce, Orange Power Snack, Acai Power Snack, Matcha Berry Endurance Meal and Blueberry Endurance Meal contain no honey and are vegan. Long Haul, Mango Mint, Lemon Power Snack, Wolf Pack and Peach Cobbler Gel XL contain honey and are vegetarian rather than vegan.

How much caffeine is in Spring products?

Lemon Power Snack has 113 mg, Speednut 50 mg, and Mango Mint 30 mg. Every other product in the range has none. Canaberry contains guarana and carries a trace amount of roughly 0.3 mg.
